A hand-turned and textured bowl when the wood was wet then allowed it to dry in order to obtain a beautifully distorted form. The timber was darkened with iron and vinegar solution and finished with natural oil and wax. The bottom is re-flattened when the piece stops the distortion for the stability and practical purpose.

This raised bowl is made with one solid piece of timber.
